Here are 5 things we’d like to highlight before purchasing a WordPress theme at iThemes:
1. HOSTING
All WordPress Themes require some type of web hosting account in order to be able to use them as you see on the web because of the way they are created…or simply put – without website hosting our themes will not work as a functioning website.
iThemes recommends HostGator but you can work with any host provider that offers Linux platform hosting.
Once you have purchased your website hosting you can upload our Premium WordPress Themes.

2. SUPPORT
iThemes provides top-notch support for our themes but only through our Support Forum online. Our support services include:
- Bug fixes, if any, under normal operation
- How to use Theme features
- Basic WordPress help
- Basic help with customization
We understand that some of our clients need more help than we can personally provide or that they may be new WordPress, so to help with these needs, we have created a great online library of tutorials and a recommended provider list of resources.
iThemes cannot provide one-on-one assistance, customization services, or technical support by phone. If you need more help, please check out iThemes Services.
3. LICENSING
iThemes offers multiple-use licensing for all of our themes. This means you may use our themes on as many personal and client sites as you wish.
4. UPGRADES
All of the iThemes Premium Themes include a free upgrade, for your membership year (typically 1 year from the date of purchase), for all of our currently offered theme products.
As soon as new updates are available, we will post the information on our website and within the support forum on how to get your free upgrade. Please feel free to sign up for our newsletter so you can stay up to date on iThemes announcements.
5. KNOWLEDGE
We believe our premium themes are the easiest to use on the planet. However, most of our clients do have a working knowledge and understanding of WordPress, HTML and CSS basics. While it is relatively simple to install WordPress on a hosting account and then upload our themes, you will benefit greatly by understanding the in’s and out’s of how these products and software works together.
