Modifying a Theme to Use LoopBuddy
Here's an example of TwentyTen's index.php file before it begins loading the various templates:
<?php if ( ! dynamic_loop() ) : ?> <div class="loop"> <?php /* Run the loop to output the posts. * If you want to overload this in a child theme then include a file * called loop-index.php and that will be used instead. */ get_template_part( 'loop', 'index' ); ?> </div> <?php endif; ?>
dynamic_loop() is executed, LoopBuddy searches to see if this particular loop should be overridden. If not, the normal loop executes. If so, then LoopBuddy overwrites the content of the loop with LoopBuddy content.
