We know that budgets are often extremely tight for full time students – and in many cases you’ve already taken on thousands of dollars of debt just to get your education. This is our way of helping out. We know that the better training and tools you have, the greater an impact you can make.
This is also our way of giving back to the education system which has meant so much to all of us at iThemes. We’ve all made it to where we are in large part because of the education we’ve received, in particular, the non-traditional aspects of our education where we took the initiative and went out on our own to learn new skills we could apply immediately.

Any full-time student enrolled in a college, technical school, or high school in the United States or Canada. You do not have to be in a web development or design program, but have an interest in developing your WordPress web development skills and an ability to learn and study on your own.
How do I apply for the Student Edition of the Web Designer’s ToolKit?
Complete the application form above, and include a copy of your official, current schedule showing that you are enrolled full-time. By “official” we mean the schedule the school provides that has school-specific identifying information on it. You may black out your personal school ID number for privacy.
You may upload your schedule via the application form, or you may email it to education [at] ithemes.com.

Why would I get the Student Edition of the ToolKit instead of the full edition?
That’s completely up to you. The Student Edition is a super-affordable way to gain access to premium web design products so you can learn to use them on your own. If you prefer the full edition, which includes access to the support forum, you are welcome to purchase that. We can extend a 30% courtesy discount if you prefer the full edition.
What if I need help?
Access to the support forum is not included in the Student Edition because of the drastically discounted price.
There are other ways to access documentation and get support, though.
The iThemes codex (http://new.ithemes.com/codex/) has lots of documentation and instructions.
You may purchase individual products you want support on – at a 30% discount. Access to the support forum is included with the full license.
You can post on the student discussion board area of the forum and get help from your fellow students.
What happens at the end of the year?
At the end of the year you maintain all the products you have downloaded. They are yours to keep and use. If you want to have access to updates and/or the support forum, you would need to renew a full ToolKit membership, or renew individual licenses for the products you use the most.
