Thanks Elise!  We ended up just going with a PayPal button and not using Exchange.  You can control the page/message the payee gets redirected to after payment through the button set up.  We were only selling one thing--registration for a retreat. For our next event though I will upload Exchange and give it another try.   Glad to know this bug is fixed.

Hi Laureen,

We've just released a new version of Exchange, version 1.1.0.  The issue with the confirmation page's page type being set to WordPress instead of Exchange has been corrected in this new version.

Let us know if you continue to have issues after you update to version 1.1.0.

Thanks,

Elise

Hey Laureen,

Your client should be take to a confirmation page that looks similar to the screenshot below (there will be minor differences based on theme, payment method, etc.) after their purchase.

Screen Shot 2013-07-25 at 12.20.14 PM.png

You can go into Exchange > Settings > Pages and select a page type for each of the pages.  So if you want to use one of your WordPress pages where you can additional content, etc., you'd set the page type to WordPress and select the page you'd like to use.  This would also give you a shortcode you could put on that page to pull in the information.

Now, unfortunately (or fortunately as we see it since it revealed a bug we hadn't found before) changing the page type for the Confirmation page isn't currently working correctly.  I've passed it along to the developers and they're taking a look.

In the meantime, if you feel comfortable, you can make changes to the content-confirmation.php file found in Exchange (/lib/templates/).  You won't make changes directly to that file.  Instead, you'll copy the contents of that file and create a new file with the same name.  You'll then go into your ftp to wp-contents/themes/ThemeYou'reUsing/ and create a folder there called "exchange" where you'll place the file you created with your changes.

Again, we're currently working on the Page Type bug with the Confirmation page, but if you have any other questions or need help with anything else in the meantime, just let us know!

Thanks,

Elise

When a client makes a purchase on Pay Pal they are then taken to a confirmation page.  I cannot figure out how to edit what is on this page.  Can anyone tell me how to do that or how to redirect to a different page if I can't edit the content of this page?

Thanks! ~Laureen
