Replying to Featured Images

Hi anyone,
Is there a way to make each of the 3 menu boxes on the left of the home page change colour as the featured images change. i.e make each of the 3 menu boxes directly relevant to the image. For example see http://acumensa.uk.com/site/ can the 'personalised' box turn blue when the butterfly image appears and then the 'expertise' box turn blue when the web image appears and then finally the 'clarity' box turn blue when the droplet image appears?
Help would be sooo much appreciated.
