Hi,

A subscription entitles you to premium support, and product upgrades, but it is your choice whether or not you want to renew. If you choose not to, BackupBuddy will continue to work without any limitations or restrictions.

Will BackupBuddy stop working if the subscription is not renewed?

Hi Hannah,

You can do that. Though if they encounter problems they will need to go to, or through, you for support as the licenses and BackupBuddy would be on your account. Typically better for you to post in the support forums for them as to let them do it with your account would be giving them the account details (ithemes username/password).

If you deploy a site for someone 6 months from now the license key attached to that site would have 6 months left because they are all connected to your subscription. If you renewed then the keys you've made and attached to sites would stay active.

Thanks,

Hi there,

We build WordPress websites for our clients and would like to be able to offer Backup Buddy on these deployed sites.
  • Does your Developer’s License cover this type of arrangement?
  • Does your Dev License cover support of your plugin on our clients’ deployed sites?
  • License term: if we hold a 1 yr license, what happens if we are 6 months into it and then deploy a site for a client – do they have 1 yr or will they need a new license in 6 months? Or are they covered as long as we renew?
Please let me know.

Thanks for your help!

Hannah
