Hi,

watch out for an upcoming plugin release by PluginBuddy this week, perhaps even today!

Are there any social plugins (adding likes, tweets, +1, etc)  that work well with builder.  I've tried five from the wordpress library and none seem to work and when they do, they don't work properly (in the wrong positions, etc).  Can anyone provide any insight on this and/or plugins that do work well with builder, I using Thinner child theme

The BuddyPress Template Pack plugin can get the required templates added to Flexx, but the end result ends up breaking the layout of the Flexx themes.

The BuddyPress templates would have to be hand-modified for each Flexx theme to get them to not break the layout. Even then, the styling of any of the BuddyPress templates would have to be tweaked as things start to break outside of content area.

As for an alternative, I really don't know of one to recommend.

What are the alternative social network plugins to buddypress plugin that works well with both Flexx and Builder? Please respond, thank you kindly.

Does the BuddyPress Template Pack plugin also properly set up FLEXX to function as a ready-to-go BuddyPress solution?

For those just happening upon this thread, please know that the BuddyPress Template Pack plugin now properly sets up Builder to function as a ready-to-go BuddyPress solution. The styling isn't perfect, but it is good enough that I doubt many people will notice some of the small details.

Note that this means that the Builder BuddyPress beta plugin will no longer be required as the BuddyPress Template Pack takes care of all of the theme modifications.

I've created a new Builder extension for BuddyPress-default which includes the default.css from "./wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/" and have made changes to be made to BuddyPress content.  This works quite well for a quick conversion of BuddyPress to Builder.

You mean iThemes Builder can’t load the BuddyPress template files transferred during the BP Template pack process? While iThemes hasn’t created a bridge to adapt BP to their themes, strange that they have not promoted using BP template pack instead.
As for additional styling, there’s a panel during the integration process where you have option to include the CSS provided in BP Template Pack to start you off. Then you just add/adjust styling to
taste.

Thanks,
