Hi Michele,

I just wanted to let you know that we've recently released a new tax add-on, Easy U.S. Sales Taxes.  It integrates with TaxCloud to charge taxes based on the location of the customer.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise

Ok, I will click on the link and vote, but I have to admit, I'm a little reluctant to use exchange for this client. What should I tell her about this issue?Since she is selling a tangible product, she needs to be able to be accurate on the sales tax. Is there some kind of work around you can suggest in the meantime? She is excited about using Stripe, so that's one of the reasons to continue on using exchange.

Michele, great to see this site on Builder AND Exchange!

As Ronald mentioned, we don't have an exact ETA but you can vote on this feature in our Public Roadmap ... I've linked to the specific card to vote on and make notes as you want here.

Hi Michele,

this is definitely on the roadmap, however, we don't have an ETA for such a more advanced tax addon,

I know that we are able to specify our sales tax rate in the Simple Taxes add on, but is there a way that the plugin knows to which orders it should charge tax?  For example, we live in Washington state and we have to charge sales tax to those residents, but how will exchange know not to charge tax to people located outside of Washington? Is there a place where we can adjust the plugin?

I think this is a general question, but just in case, my site is:
