This was resolved through an update to video showcase I believe, said the developer. So, my site is speedy once again. Thanks.

Yes, I tried different browsers, cleared cache, didn't try all the tools, no. 10 seconds is about right for me as well, or more like 9-15 seconds give or take, which is still not a usable shopping cart solution at that speed. But, it went from 30sec-2mins down to about 10 seconds by merely switching my theme from a non-builder theme to builder/air child theme... so clearly this slowness is somewhere in between Exchange and the theme, and the theme being used can change that load speed.  And, it was completely solved when reverting back to the previous Exchange version.

I'm getting additional support, so thanks, and will post back with the results/fix.

And although the site is not fast, the page loads in about 10 seconds for me.

Did you try on another computer? Another browser? Can you try clearing your browser cache?

I will continue to look into this as well, and ask the devs about any specific changes between these versions, but if this is an Exchange only issue, I am sure we would have had lots more support requests.

Keep us posted,
Ronald

Hi,

check this article: http://ithemes.com/codex/page/Builder_Frequently_Asked_Questions#My_site_is_loading_slow, and run (some, or all of the) analysis tools to find out what is causing this. That should offer insights as to what is causing this,

Well, this link talks immediately and specifically about Builder, and as I said, I am not running Builder. Just Exchange. And, the site runs fast aside from just the Exchange-related pages.

Did you use the analysis tools that are mentioned in that article. Although the article is listed under Builder, the external sites and tools it links to are general tools,

Can you give that another look and try some of the tools to try and pinpoint the source?

thanks!

FYI, it appears that after doing the entire reinstall of Exchange (and then upgrading it), the slowness has lessoned, but still takes about 10 seconds to load the product page, which is still too long to be ok with it as my shopping cart solution. I'm sure there is a way to resolve it, though, but again, it only slowed again after the upgrade. The version I installed prior to upgraded shows this in the readme.txt: Requires at least: 3.5, Tested up to: 3.8, Stable tag: 1.7.8 (if that helps).

Performance on the site is not an issue outside of viewing the exchange product pages.

Also, I just did the following:

1. Deactivated all plugins, reactivated one by one with no improvement along the way
2. Deleted all ithemes plugins, reinstalled just Exchange.
3. Activated Builder, tried builder with the Exchange plugin vs the theme I had been using
4. Deleted Builder and the child theme. Reinstalled both.
No improvement.

Except... when I deleted Exchange an reinstalled it, a November 26 copy that I had, it worked!!!!! I thought I fixed it. Then I upgraded to the newest version of Exchange, then the slow-to-a-crawl returned on the product pages. The update is causing this somehow, as it worked. The product loaded SUPER, SUPER quick before the upgrade. Now it's back to 30 sec to 2mins to load, with the site not loading (even in other browser windows and other browsers) until the product page finally loads.

Given that Exchanged worked perfectly prior to the upgrade, can you please help me fix this by taking a look. I will PM you the link. Thank you.

Hello. I love Exchange, it is working well on one site I have tested it on, but on another it is causing some big-time slowness.

When I attempt to load one of my products, the site times out, I get a white screen on Safari, and a total time out on Chrome. Plus, after I attempt to view a product page, or any Exchange page, the entire site won't load from anywhere between 2 minutes and 10 minutes.

So, the process has been, I click on the Exchange Product, then I can't load anything, the site pages, nothing, for 2-10 mins. After that time, it varies, the entire site is fast as can be again - until I select the product page. Then again, everything stops loading for 2-3 mins.

What I've done so far:

1) I created a "store" page on WordPress vs using Exchange's Store page (and I pasted in the embed code). That seems to help on that page, but once the product is selected, again, everything, including that page loading, goes down for 2-10 mins.
2) I deactivated all plugins, including Exchange, and reactivated. No change.
3) I tested all pages for quite sometime (without clicking on anything Exchange related)... the site is speedy until I click on product, so I know it's not my server slowness.

I prefer to PM the link to whomever is supporting this issue vs. pasting it here. I will report back what did the trick in solving it, so that this topic can still assist anyone with the same issue later on.

Thanks a lot.
