Hey D'Nelle,

Glad to have given you good news!  :)

I've gotten the codex page up here:  http://ithemes.com/codex/page/Exchange_General_Settings:_Store_Settings

I know that you mentioned (on the Trello card) that you'd like a drag and drop option.  If you use the Simple Page Ordering plugin, you can drag and drop the products into the order you'd like them.  It's explained in the codex link I provided.

Hey guys,

Version 1.7.22 of Exchange has just been released which allows you to change the order the products display on your store page.  You'll find this setting in Exchange > Settings.

You'll also see a Product Order option in the Advanced Options of your product.

This hasn't been added to the codex yet, but I wanted to let you guys know as soon as possible.

I'm still really new to messing around with PHP, but I definitely want to learn. I'll be poking at this to see if I can use this site as a guinea pig :)

Hey Rob -
Thanks to the link to Trello. I keep forgetting that the roadmap is there.

I'm not a mySQL whiz by any means, so I may not have been doing it correctly, but I did actually attempt to change the info in the database - thinking that THAT would be a way for me to fix the issue now and just change the way I do things in the future - but it didn't work.

I'm hoping the iThemes folks have some way to illuminate where to look for the magic bullet. Maybe it is the post number...

From what I understand, reordering items in the product catalog is not currently possible. You can vote on the feature on the Exchange feature board, here.

Edit: I missed the second part of your question. Since the date isn't visible on the products, my assumption would be that you'd have to change the publish/creation date within your database.

Is there any way to control the order in which items appear in the product catalog[http://berry-interesting.com/twostardesign/product-catalog/]? Currently they are appearing in the order they have been added (with the most recent product appearing as the first product in the list.

Since I'm moving over from Shopp, I moved the products over all at once, working alphabetically.
Of course I'm discovering all sorts of things along the way as I work with Exchange, so it didn't occur to me to worry about the order I created the entries.

Is there any way to change the "publish date" or creation date of a product so that I can manipulate the order they appear in the product catalog? the Exchange post type doesn't appear to give me the option to change that date (like I would with a standard post)
