Hi Erwin,

If you follow the instructions I linked to in my previous reply, updating Exchange won't overwrite the custom template files that you create.

I can add this as a feature request, but I don't have a timeline for if/when it would be added.

Thanks,

Elise

Hi Elise,

I keep changing template files and this will make updating in the future a nightmare. In the settings there is only one field for the confirmation email. I really think it's necessary to be able to set all different texts in the settings.

Hi Erwin,

When using Offline Payments, the first email the customer receives will include the following message:

Quote

Available Downloads

The status for this transaction does not grant access to downloadable files. Once the transaction is updated to an approved status, you will receive a follow-up email with your download links.

Once you have received their payment and changed the status to Paid, they will receive another email with their download links instead of the above message.  So they are told in their initial email that they will be receiving another email once their payment status has been updated, confirming that they've paid for the reservation.

You can change the message in the first email, by customizing the download-data.php file found in /lib/templates/content-downloads/loops.  The codex gives you more information about editing template files here:  How Do I Edit My Template Files

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise

Hi,

I'm using only Offline Payments.
When a client buys a digital product from the store (which in my case is a reservation for a course), he or she receives a confirmation email with order details. When the client pays and his status has been changed from "pending" to "paid", he'll receive exactly the same confirmation email as before. So there's no confirmation for the client that he has paid for the reservation...
I could "solve" this by uploading some sort of ticket which states the course one has registered for. But this will mean I'll have to make a PDF per course, and there are 40 courses and people choose at least 3 pp. So in this example they will receive 3 download links and will have a pdf per course. Not very pretty I think.
