Hi Ann,

There isn't a backorder option at this time; a product is either in stock or out of stock.  

We can add this as a feature request if you'd like.  If you would like to add it as a feature request, please give any details about what exactly you're needing/wanting.

Does exchange have the capability to handle backorders?
