Hi,

sorry for the delay, I added these instructions to the Codex: http://ithemes.com/codex/page/Exchange_FAQs:_How_Do_I_Create_a_Custom_Product_Category_Page

This will allow you to create a custom category archive page. That should be a good starting point for your custom Product layout as well,

Ronald

Hi,

I am working on an example of how to approach this for Builder theme, as well as for other themes. I apologise that I won't be able to finalise it today, but I will add further instructions tomorrow if that's ok,

thanks for your patience,
Ronald

My theme is Cohen, the link to my site is:
http://www.provincial-silver.com/product-category/english-silver/

I am trying to set up categories that look nice, not like the product category archive page above! All I need for each product listing is:

A title (which links to the product page)
An image
A brief description (not the advanced description shown in the archive page above)

So far I have installed the categories addon, fiddled with the archive.php file in my theme so that the featured image is displayed as per these instructions http://ithemes.com/codex/page/Exchange_FAQs:_How_Do_I_Show_the_Product_Featured_Image_on_Archive/Category_Pages

The problem is I don't know what to do next. Please could you advise on what needs to be done to customise the archive layout so that each product has:

A title (which links to the product page)
An image which is positioned below the title
A brief description (not the advanced description shown in the archive page above)

Many thanks
