Hi,

New to wordpress and the serverbuddy plug-in.

The only test my site fails is the Maximum Execution Time (secs) - it fails with a time of 30.

What value should I be asking my host to change this to? Or should I only ask if I notice any particular problems caused by this setting? (what problems should I look out for?).

Cheers,

David.

Hi David

Hey, you're in good shape if that's the only FAIL Posted Image

In a sense this is more of a "heads-up" than a fail - where it potentially has an impact is for something like BackupBuddy which may exceed this time limit if you have a particularly large site to backup. If this is happening you will generally find that backups would fail to complete.

If you were to be using BackupBuddy and you get this kind of problem then best bet would be to post over on the BB forum and get some advice on how to up this limit. Generally 30s is the default set by hosts (the purpose of the limit is to prevent rogue scripts from consuming excessive processor time) but it's generally possible for you to make some config update in you site to increase this to a limit that will suffice - you would only need to get your host involved if they were preventing you from doing this or you didn't have access to the necessary config file.

Hope that helps.

Regards...jeremy

That's helpful Jeremy, thanks for the reply.

I do have BackupBuddy so will monitor the output from that as the site grows.

Cheers,

David.
