I am trying to show the Twitter feed within the Tabber Widget.

In firefox on a mac, it works fine.

In Safari on a mac, it works fine.

In Chrome on a mac, it works fine.

In IE8, I get the following error:

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0)
Timestamp: Wed, 13 Apr 2011 18:51:52 UTC

Message: 'this[...].style' is null or not an object
Line: 147
Char: 20
Code: 0
URI: http://www.tecy.net/rafi//wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.4.4

If I remove the twitter feed from the tabber widget, it works.

If I place the twitter feed code in a text widget and add somewhere else on the page, it works.

So, I am assuming there is a conflict between the tabber widget and the Twitter feed.

The website is: http://www.tecy.net/rafi/ which is just for development purposes while updating the design.

Thanks,

Louise Desmarteau

I know its only been a couple of days but, is anyone able to assist with this issue.

Isn't this where to post requests for support?

Louise

Hi Louise,

Yes this is the correct place.

Are you using a plugin to display the twitter feed? If so what plugin?

Thanks!

Josh

Josh,

I am using the text widget and entering the Twitter code directly. Then inserting that into the tabber plugin. I've used the tabber widget many times and not had an issue until running into IE8/Twitter/Tabber issue.

If there's something else I can test or try, let me know.

Louise

Hi Louise,

You may want to try using a twitter feed plugin in the mean time. Try this plugin here http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-twittersearch I will take a further look into this as soon as i can. Also placing that many feeds inside of another plugin may not always come out the way it should Posted Image

Josh

Josh,

It would be great to have it working because I've got 2 other feeds there - facebook and flickr and I don't really see a reason we can do Twitter as well.

I'd really appreciate your help with this and I'll look into the other plugin.....can it be used within the tabber widget?

Thanks,

Louise

Yes it can be used within the tabber widget. And the reason is with that many things going on inside a plugin it is hard not to have something conflicting. I will look into this and post back when I figure this out.

Thanks!
