Hello - considering buying Vid Embed, but wanted to understand a couple details to make sure it fit my need. The online info says you can embed in posts (not just widgets), but only gives an example of using it to embed via a widget. Running WP3.1.1 under Linux.

1. Can I embed short videos that are stored locally in the WP media folder in individual posts?
2. If so, roughly how is that done (shortcode, URL etc?)

3. Will the player play on iPads (i.e. will it play on non-Flash systems)?

Hi Kelly

Hopefully I can answer those questions for you.

1. You can embed videos that are stored locally in the WP media folder you will just have to enter the full url to it when you are entering the information in the VidEmbed form. (ex. http://yoursite/wp-content/uploads/yourvideo.mp4).

2. There is a shortcode button similar to how you add an image to the post.

3. It is a Flash player so it won't work on non-flash systems.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Have a good day.

I have Vid Embed. I've created a video (approx 1 hr in length) and am housing it with Amazon's S3. The video shows on the page, but is not playing. Just a black screen.

I'm using WP 3.3.2, the video is FLV. Viewing in Firefox.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer!
