BackupBuddy - available in non English languages? Translatable?
Posted 06 July 2011 - 09:13 AM
I don't see either this information on the site.
Is BackupBuddy available with some other languages than English (most of my clients don't speak English) the same way than Wordpress does?
I suppose it is the case as the vast majority of premium or paid solutions are, and it is existing apparently for quite a while, but let just ask.
If it is not available in the languages we have to use, is there a .pot file we could translate ourselves?

BackupBuddy is ready for translation, check this blogpost. German translation is completed, and a .pot file is available for further translation, indeed in "the WordPress way".
hope that clarifies,

it is indeed true since version 2.2.1 published yesterday (2011.07.06).
It seems it concerns the main file backupbuddy.php (plugin side when you backup).
For importing and migrating, importbuddy.php is not currently concerned in this version, but frankly I would also prefer like you mentionned in another post that the migration script works correctly or simply works when the wp directory is different of the home directory of the wordpress site (without that, it is simply and clearly useless in your setup and mine).

Thanks for the confirmation.
Any plan for the translation also of the restoration and migration part (even if I agree it is maybe not the priority...)?
@Gilbert: apparently you purchased BackupBuddy, sorry maybe not the subject in thsi thread, but did you find any working workaround for the situation when 'siteurl' is different from 'home' URL (it is really something compulsory for me and all my clients)?
I am asking for these (I hope) temporary procedures to verify before purchase if it will be working or not in real situation, but I am not so confident in the 'vague' answers given to me for the moment?

sorry not for the moment.
Still didn't find out what I could be doing wrong, or even what are possible workarounds if need be.
I honestly start to be on the edge of throwing the whole stuff as I am spending way too much time on it . Will keep you posted.
