Hi,
I downloaded notepad and played with it and I love its simplicity. It's wonderful.
My question is about the featured image. I am up to date with the latest WP, in case you wonder. On the home page, I see that there is a template page with a side image. When I look at the source code on the demo page that

Does this simlpe take an inserted image as featured image? or do I use the custom fields? or...?
I don't have a link to share since I am running the test on wamp offline before I play with the site I have to manage.

Hi,
this is indeed hardcoded in the page template. You can either upload an image with that same name and place it in the theme folder/images/ subfolder, or you can modify the template code and add code for the image of your choice.
To do so, go to wp-dashboard > Appearance > Editor and open home_option.php. Locate the following code and change to your likings:
