Hi,

I'm planning to buy Builder, but I would need it to work in several different languages. If I have a wordpress install in, let's say, french, does Builder show all the contextual stuff of the webpage in french or does it have some hardwired english? What about the control panel?

Best,

Nuno

Hi Nuno,
the backend control panel is in English, the theme itself is not fully localised yet, but we're working on it.
hope this clarifies,Ronald

Hi Ronald,
thank you for the answer. It clarifies, but not entirely. How far is the theme localized? Do you think it would take me a while to adapt it to one specific language? What parts come "out of the box"?
Thanks,
Nuno

Hi Nuno,
it's hard to quantify this, into "how far". Not all text strings are marked as "translatable" yet, so in that sense some of the theme files need to be changed, and some of the backend as well. Yes, it would take you a while, but then, how long is "a while", if you know what you're doing.
And apart from making the theme fully translatable, you will also have to do the actual translating.
I'm sorry I can't get more specific, if I had a clear view of the impact, I would probably have finished this.
Let me get back to you on this later this week.
Ronald

Hi again,

Doing the translations is not a problem and I can perfectly live with an english backend.

My problems would be:
- having to dig in several files to change a string which shows up in english in the blog
- having to maintain several wp installs to achieve a multilingual site

I'm looking forward to get my hands on Builder, but I'll wait for your input at the end of the week before I do so.

Thanks a lot,
Nuno
