A friend of mine was showing me his Flexx theme, and I was throughoutly impressed and interested in buying. The only issue/question I have is that I didn't see a way to save different layouts for use as templates for indivual pages.
For example, the layout and widget use for the home page is different than the layout I'd like to use for a page vs category, and definately for sub pages and teriary pages.
This is sort of a deal breaker for me, I love the features of this template but not having micro control of layout throughout the various pages/categories/archives/contact page/ etc.

Hi,
Flexx comes shipped with a number of page templates, and you are always free to create your own. So regardless of the "standard" layout you have selected for your site using the Flexx layout engine, for your pages you can still select a page template with one sidebar (left or right), two sidebars (one left, one right), or no sidebars at all. Per page.
Widget use is a standard WordPress feature, to have more flexibility regarding which widgets appear where, we advise you to use a plugin such as the custom widgets plugin.

I hope you do not mind me kicking this thread as I am wondering if Builder would not bite Flexx Professional. I mean really like some of the prebuild templates for pages etc. but it would be nice if I could create page templates in Builder and use them in a theme like Flexx Professional Sports.
Can Flexx Theme Professional co-exist with Builder in one Wordpress environment/install or do they bite each other is it either Flexx or Builder or can I use Builder to build templates / page layouts for Flexx Professional.

A WordPress site can only have one theme active at the time. Flexx is a theme, Builder is a theme, so they can't bite, because only one of them can be active.
Since builder is using it's very specific structure, backend code, css code, and layout engine to construct the pages, I don't see how you could create page templates for Flexx using Builder.
