3.0 Plugin Update Is Hanging My Site...can't Open My Site

I have tried to do an upgrade to Backup Buddy version 3.0

I followed the instructions...but "the site is being updated and will be back in a few minutes" has now been more than 45 minutes.

Please -- what is happening, how can I stop it and get my site back, and how can I get the upgrade that I paid for?

Appreciate your prompt assistance.
