Can I use Backup Buddy for the following:
1. Backup my instance of a Word Press site.
2, Update the site the current version of Word Press.
3. Restore the backup and have all the Word Press updates to the newer version.
If the above can happen, I will be a purchaser of backup Buddy. If it does not, do you have a solution that will work?

Hi David,
Not quite exactly like that. BackupBuddy can back up the instance of the WordPress site but that includes the WordPress version the site had when it created the backup. You can think of BackupBuddy's backups as snapshots of the site at that moment in time and restoring with a backup (or a migration) puts the site back to how it was when the snapshot was taken.
BackupBuddy can be used to help with upgrading to newer versions of WordPress though by creating a backup of a site and downloading the backup file and an importbuddy.php file. Then upgrading the site and if something goes wrong with the WordPress upgrade then will have the backup to restore the site to just before.
Thanks,
