Since there is a file size upload limit in Dropbox of 150Mb I was wondering if BackupBuddy will automatically split the resulting backup into smaller chunks to get around that issue or do i need to look at a different online storage provider?

Thanks
Chuck

Hi Chuck

Thanks for the enquiry. BackupBuddy does not (and has no immediate plans to) support segmenting, splitting or otherwise "chunking" of larger backup files into smaller pieces.

My own _personal_ preference for larger sized backup files (and for me that means anything over about 70MB) is Amazon S3 although many people also use Rackspace or FTP (and there are service providers with "proprietary" interfaces who also provide FTP interfaces for flexibility).

If you are managing multiple sites and backups (whether for personal use or on behalf of clients) then S3 offers very good management features in that respect (site specific "user" identities within the one S3 account, user profiles for access control, etc.).

Regards...jeremy
