Hi,
Pre-sales Question. I have a subscription site serving up a lot of video content. The video is all hosted on Amazon S3. Does your plugin support using expiring links from S3? I'm using them so I don't have to make my video content public in order to have it on the website.
Thanks,
JP

Hi JP,
Do you mean external links from S3? If so, then yes, both Video Showcase and VidEmbed allow you to use external links to videos hosted on S3.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Elise

No, I get that you support S3 external links. However, to use them, I would have to make my content public on S3 meaning that potentially, anyone could find it. Since it is paid content, I want to protect it using an expiring link. This way, people cannot share the download link to my content and, I don't have to have the bucket on S3 wide open.

Hi jpmull,
They both work with expiring links as well. Once the link has expired, in VidEmbed, for example, you'll get the QuickTime icon with a question mark over it. In Video Showcase, you'd open the video and it doesn't load.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Elise
