If we are using Go Daddy (Ultimate shared hosting plan) for our web hosting, please advise if BackupBuddy will work.   According to your website:

"Godaddy Related

• The bottom tier of Godaddy hosting services are known for not being able to complete backups within the maximum PHP runtime configured on their servers (usually 30 seconds), causing backups to fail.
• Solutions:

• Choose another quality hosting provider such as Hostgator.com (recommended)
• Upgrade to a higher tier of Godaddy hosting (not recommended as even better Godaddy servers are poor performers)"

I highly suggest to leave Godaddy hosting, and get a real host. They are probably the worst in the industry. If you need managed hosting at a good price, check us out. The link is in my signature.

Well for those of us who has already purchased a year with go daddy.  Is there a way to make it work?  I cant seem to log in to the server using the BackupBuddy Restoration & Migration Tool step 4 of 7.  I have only done the Test database setting and didnt want to move on until it was success.

Hi Jodie,

There are people on GoDaddy with BackupBuddy and it works fine for them. But if you already have BackupBuddy then support questions are best asked in the BackupBuddy forum after you log in with your ithemes username/password. There you can also post the results you get when you test the database settings. If it is saying it doesn't like the login credentials or bad address kind of stuff then check with host to make sure using the right ones and that they don't need the settings to be written a certain way.

Thanks,
