Hi.
From experience, I know that BackupBuddy does an outstanding job of migrating WordPress Web sites between domains and servers. But, what if the source server and target server run 2 different operating systems? For example, if I wanted to migrate a WordPress Web site from any pair of Windows, LINUX or Mac, would BackupBuddy be able to do so without any issues?
Do other steps exist? Or do other plug-ins that can handle platform migrations exist?
Cheers,
Lyndon

Hello Lyndon,
This wouldn't be a problem. When migrating a site to a new server (any type) you really only need to be concerned with the servers actual configuration. There has been a little trouble in some instances with windows machines and unzipping the backup file, but we have work around for this.
Below is a link the the BackupBuddy Codex Specification portion.

Please let us know if this helps, or if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Gerroald
