Child Themes 101
Posted 26 October 2012 - 01:18 AM
i've had flexx dark for quite some time now, have version 4 now and what we've done from the getgo is the "wrong thing" to do—making edits directly in the stylesheet. well, we now wish to drastically change the color scheme of our flexx dark, making the background white instead with some other changes, mostly color.
I have downloaded and installed our child theme, but do not understand at all how to "update" that child theme. right now it looks fairly like the original flexx theme with the widgets all screwed up.
Can you possibly put it in layman's terms how I am to keep all the layout, widget preferences, etc in tact and simply edit the color?
