Changing From Joomla Built Site To Wordpress Using Same Domain

I am building a new wp website but want to use the domain name from a site that is currently built on joomla. if i build it initially on a different domain name that I own in a subfolder, are you able to re-direct (assign) the folder to my old domain? Thanks

Hi,

this is a very generic question, and not really related to WordPress, or a theme. No WordPress theme will redirect or assign folders to domains,

We recommend BackupBuddy to move WordPress sites from one url to another: http://ithemes.com/purchase/backupbuddy/.
