I have BackBuddy 3 and want to know if BackupBuddy 4 still requires us to add

define('ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true); in the wp-config.

As this will sometimes add a long cron eg. ?doing_wp_cron=1372335312.0479290485492080068124 link after the domain.

Hope BackupBuddy 4 will not add the long link!

Hi W,

No BackupBuddy version requires the WordPress alternate cron code though some people can use the alternate cron to get around a loopback issue from host not allowing loopbacks (why WordPress created the alternate cron stuff) or something is interfering with loopbacks. If the alternate cron was needed before for loopbacks to work as expected on the WordPress site then probably would still need them with BackupBuddy 4.x version.
