I am using the Exchange quick setup to set up our paypal info. I have chosen Paypal Standard - secure and followed all the instructions.  I have the all the codes and have entered them in the appropriate boxes. When I click 'save changes', I get the same screen as before with 4 red boxes at the top asking for my paypal email address, api username, api password and api signature and those 4 boxes are all staring at me with that very information in them.  I have tried logging out of wordpress and back in but I get the same result with the exception that the 4 red boxes have now combined to one but still asking for all 4 items.  What am I missing?

Hey Joyce,

If you go into Exchange > Add-ons and click the gear symbol next to the Enabled button for PayPal Standard Secure, it'll take you to the settings page.  Does all your information show if you check it there?  Can you try adding the information there instead of the Quick Setup page?

Give that a try and let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Elise

Hi Elise,

I've got my OA working on this and she's only here once a week. She just tried your suggestion now and got the same response - a red box asking for all four items that she'd just filled in.  On our dashboard though, the exchange box is present with $0 in the two sales areas.  Does that mean anything or does that come up automatically as soon as the program's installed?

Thanks,
Joyce

Hey Joyce,

If the Basic Reporting Dashboard Widget is showing $0, that just means you haven't made any sales yet.  It is an add-on, so if you don't want that to show, you can go into Exchange > Add-ons and disable that add-on.

Can you test to see if this is due to a plugin conflict?  So you'd deactivate all your plugins except for Exchange and Stripe and then see if you can add the information.  If so, reactivate the other plugins, one at a time, testing Exchange each time, to see which plugin is creating the conflict.

Give that a try and then let me know what you find.

Thanks,

Elise
