thanks,

Let's say I am using digital downloads.  If I upload a file to be downloaded, is it uploaded in such a way that direct access to it is blocked?  Additionally, how does the download limits work?  If they save the link to the download will they be able to download that again and again?

Hey Timothy,

Yes, direct access is blocked.  The download link the customer is given is not the same as the one you would find if you were just to go into your media library and see the product there.  Each download link is unique.

As for how the download limit works - if you've set the limit to 5 downloads, for instance, once that link has been used 5 times, it is no longer valid and they'd have to make a new purchase, thereby getting a new download link, in order to make any additional downloads.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thanks,

Elise
