Hi there,

I'm hoping to use exchange for a new client, but on setting up (Paypal or Stripe), it only appears to offer a choice of two currencies - US$ and Canadian$.

I am in the UK, so neither is of use to me.

Is this the limit, or am I missing something simple?

Hi ignorami23,

You should be able to setup PayPal for use in the UK and Stripe actually just added the UK to their merchant countries:  https://stripe.com/global.  So you should be able to use Stripe without any issues as well.  Once you enable the payment gateway of your choice, just go into Exchange > Settings and select the currency you'd like to use.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Elise

Thanks Elise

Having chosen Paypal as my gateway, I have tried changing the currency in both the quick set-up, and the Exchange settings.
In both cases I have a pop-out menu with only two options. US & Canadian dollars.
In the settings I also have an option for where I want the currency symbol to appear, but it's still only $

Any ideas what I'm missing?

Hi ignorami23,

Please make sure you update the Exchange Stripe Add-on to the latest version (currently 1.0.5). Since Stripe only allows certain currencies, the Stripe add-on limits which currencies are allowed. At the time of writing the Stripe add-on, Stripe only allowed USD and CAD. In version 1.0.5 we opened that up to the newest currencies allowed by Stripe (USD, CAD, GBP, and EUR). Once you update to 1.0.5, you should see those four currencies available in the Exchange -> Settings menu option.

Thanks!
Lew
