Reseller Premier Vs Managed Vps/multiadmin

I realise there are a lot of variables here!
But would like a general understanding of the difference between these two offerings.
Expecting to grow to 100 customers in the next 12 months and not sure whether I should "over cook" resources now or whether it is very easy to grow the option - I've hit massive problems transferring clients from one hosting provider to another or even to a "better" solution with the same host.
I've also been most disappointed with the speed, expertise & sincerity of hosting companies in the past and want to be able to offer my clients quality service without paying the earth. I used to be a tech support professional and know wouldn't have got away with the support from two of your competitors.

Reseller Hosting is "shared" hosting, just like web hosting, meaning you have a lot of customers in a big shared environment. It is different than web hosting in that you are getting a very large block of resources and allowed to split those up and sell those to your clients. So if you buy a plan with 20GB of disk space and bandwidth you can break those up into 1GB plans to sell to your customers, or even setup your own hosting company (we and other hosts include free billing software with the packages too like Blesta). And the other key difference is that the hosting provider provides you with support, and then you provide support for your clients.
*Web Hosting is also different in that you are not allowed to host clients under your account as a general rule. As shared web hosting is meant to be used by an end user only.
A VPS is a fully dedicated environment just for your sites. So you are actually receiving dedicated resources instead of sharing them, and this is naturally a bit less chaotic and where clients move too as their site grows past the limits of shared web hosting.
Creating separate cPanel/SiteAdmin accounts for each website (MultiAdmin and WHM):
Site5 has something called MultiAdmin that allows our customers on the Turbo plan to create individual SiteAdmin (aka cPanel) accounts. With Reseller Hosting this same feature is called WHM. And on VPS you can choose between either setup, you can have MultiAdmin and SiteAdmin or WHM and cPanel. Both use the cPanel/WHM platform we just call it something slightly different in shared hosting.
If you are expecting to grow to 100 customers in the next year I recommend a VPS if it makes financial sense for you to make that jump now. I'd recommend starting with a minimum of a 1GB VPS (VPS2 at Site5) and a better choice would be a 2GB VPS (VPS4). You can always start with a VPS2 of course and upgrade, we can upgrade you in place or our team handles the move to a different node if the resources are not available on that one.
Are you going to be providing them access to the control panel?
I'm assuming you are going to be managing their sites and providing them support right?

Yes, I do all the "techy" work for my customers including support, etc - a few like to have there own cPanel access, but after early enthusiasm they prefer me to manage it for them - only real exception would be add new e-mail accounts/forwarders.
I like the look of the Blesta software - I currently do this separately and looks much easier to be integrated.
I think you said this was included with a Reseller account but not VPS!? So would I need to buy a Blesta license to run on a VPS?
I'm also developing my own "authority" sites to host somewhere.
So I'm thinking that I could go with BOTH a Starter Reseller Plan (which I upgrade as I add clients) AND a VPS1 for a prime customer and my sites and grow as necessary.
This will also allow me to offer my customers two levels of service going forward.
Does that sound logical or stupid! (I can take it!)
If it does sound good, then can do I sign up twice and can I then use the discount code twice or is there an easier/better/cheaper(!) way you can help me!?

Yep Blesta is very nice. Blesta and all the free billing software is included with VPS too.
Hmm, well how do you plan on explaining the two services to customers? I don't think it makes a ton of sense as it would be more economical to do a larger VPS for everything usually.
The coupon code on the webinar is only good for reseller and web hosting, we don't usually give out coupons for VPS , but we do have a $1 for a 30 day trial on the site.

So I'm thinking I could grab the 3 months of Reseller Hosting, migrate a few clients, try you guys out (!), try out Blesta and then decide about VPS.
Would it be easy for you guys to migrate from a Reseller account to VPS?

Yep with reseller hosting you can setup your own DNS, and I highly recommend that as it will make it easier to do the migration from reseller to vps. We are working on a centralized DNS system for resellers as well to make that even easier, as right now it involves an IP change.

How do I add domains, databases, etc?
VPS is way over my head... (I'm a web developer who manages 50+ WP sites for clients. I do all the technical stuff- they don't have a clue when it comes to cpanel, emails, etc.).
