Hi I used backupbuddy and successfully migrated site from staging (different host) to live site (hostgator). All looks good after migration meaning site looks fine and able to edit content, add new pages, etc. However when I tried to install a new plugin, I'm getting:

An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

When trying to update plugins, I get:

Download failed. Couldn't resolve host 'downloads.wordpress.org'

Please help!

Hi Guest

Happy to hear that you are using BackupBuddy successfully in your workflow.

The indicated issue is nothing to do with BackupBuddy/importbuddy or the migration process - the problem is being reported by WordPress in relation to WordPress functionality and it indicates a hosting issue whereby WordPress is unable to access the indicated domain because the server is unable to translate the domain into an ip address - you should contact your host support, thanks.

Regards...jeremy
