Hi Mark

Thanks for your enquiry concerning BackupBuddy.

BackupBuddy will, by default, include in a backup all files and directories within the WordPress site installation directory - so, for example, if your WordPress site installation directory were public_html then by default it would include all files and directories in and under public_html (excepting some automatic exclusions of BackupBuddy specific directories within the WordPress installation).

However, you can, and in some cases should, exclude files and directories from the backup as you choose.

Please bear in mind that BackupBuddy is a WordPress site backup/restore/migrate tool and is not specifically designed as a more general "backup" utility. So although additional (non WordPress site) files and directories may be included in a backup if you do not exclude them and would be restored from such a backup we do not provide nor support any particular capabilities associated with restoring or migrating non-WordPress files/directories/data.

I hope that provides the information you need but if you have any additional question or clarification required please let us know, thanks.
