I was instructed by support to post my question here and so I have.

I am interested in the potential of Builder. I am searching for a Wordpress theme/framework which will enable me (a non-programmer) to replicate the look, feel, and functionality of the below example photo portfolio sites, all of which are built on aphotofolio's Design X theme. Not including the initial load screen, which isn't important to me.

Is this possible with Builder? Are there any features shown in these example sites which would NOT be possible with Builder (clean, fit, responsive image scaling, click or keyboard nav of large portfolio images, thumbnail viewing option by gallery set, ability to group images/nav by categories, left side vertical nav etc)?

Hi,

possible, yes, but I doubt a non-programmer will be able to replicate these looks and functionality in any WordPress theme. I think a seasoned (WordPress) developer with a LOT of knowledge of javascript, jQuery, css, php and html would still need a considerable amount of time to create this.

There are however several WordPress plugins (free of paid) that may do what you want, e.g. http://themeforest.net/item/big-gallery-wp-fullscreen-photographyportfolio/5351207  or http://themeforest.net/item/icarus-fullscreen-studio-for-wordpress/4913543 and loads more: https://www.google.com/search?q=WordPress+portfolio+plugin

Once you have found the plugin you wish to use, I have no doubt that it can be implemented in Builder theme.

But in short, Builder, nor WordPress has built-in portfolio functions with such extensive features and functionality. There is a native WordPress gallery function, which is a lot more basic,
