Nothing I have been able to find in the documentation or view in the videos answers what may be a couple of "dumb" questions . . . so I'm going to go ahead and ask them!

1. Is an SSL certificate required or recommended on a site that uses Exchange with the PayPal Standard - Basic or the PayPal Standard - Secure Add-ons?  I don't think so, but I want to be sure.

2. How about the Stripe Add-on?

Thanks, in advance, for this clarification.

Scott

Hi scott5598,

An SSL certificate is not required by either of the standard PayPal add-ons. According to Stripe's documentation they recommended enabling SSL on your site (https://stripe.com/help/ssl) just for the added security and increased customer conversion rate.

Hope that helps!
Lew

Thanks for the feedback.

That is consistent with what I my understanding of the PayPal options and a review of the Strip website . . . but I wanted to confirm that I wasn't missing something related to Exchange that required anything more or less.
