Hi guys,

My experience with other's parties themes has been terrible. I want to build my blog/website with some tweaks like changing color and font style for post titles, or widgets area fonts to match more or less my company logo. The Flexx theme seems great; however, the menu lines are very thick (professional). The other Flexx's theme have other things I don't love like no frames for side bars, etc.

I want to buy Flexx or Builder; my concern is that if Builder is difficult to manage with too many options. I will be enourmously frustrated for not refund.

I just want pretty, professional website, with rotating images, social icons, 2 columns, I want to add my own logo, fonts similar to my logo.. tag clouds, may be..

What would be you honest advice or recommendation for anovice but picky girl?.. I think :)

Hi,

my honest advice would be to go for Flexx. Any tweaks can be done pretty easily, and it runs great, with plenty of features "out-of-the-box". We're here on the support forum to help you out with the kind of minor tweaks that you are referring to,

hope this helps,
Ronald

I'd agree with Ronald. My first iThemes site uses Flexx (www.yourbusinessoftware.com).
I'm working in Builder now, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone new to site buliding.
If you want to build your own site, be prepared to search the forum for answers (we've all been where you are, and have asked most all the basic questions, so you'll find the answers), and have a little patience, you can make changes in Flexx relatively easily.

Is there any way to get Style Manager which is part of Builder incorporated into the Flexx Theme for users who have already purchased Flexx? Unfortunately I did not fully understand the differences between Builder and Flexx prior to purchasing Flexx.

Hi,

no, the style manager is not (yet) available for Flexx. When it will be, I can't tell.

Trying to decide between Builder and Flexx, and new to this web stuff. Do BOTH Builder and Flexx allow me to change header sizes, import photos for headers, and allow me to choose and change background and text colors?

Can answer that question regarding Builder.

Builder's layout manager lets you import an image and that can be set to be shown anywhere in your site.

Background, text colors etc. can be changed easily by using Style Manager plugin for Builder.

Thanks for the Builder answer. Does FLEXX allow color and style changes as well? Is one preferred over the other (FLEXX v. Builder) for a novice user?

Since you indicate you're novice and new to the web stuff, I think Flexx is preferred. If you have no knowledge whatsoever of WordPress, the WordPress framework, html, php and css, Builder can be somewhat intimidating.
