I can't log in to the Backup Buddy dedicated support page. So please answer my question here.

I downloaded the back up file, but I failed to see that I needed to download importbuddy.php.

My old site is gone due to a hosting migration.

Am I completely screwed?

Hello J,

FULL backups will have a usable importbuddy.php file in them. The expected location of that importbuddy.php is inside the backup at /wp-content/uploads/backupbuddy_temp/xxxxxx/ Where the xxxxxx will be a folder with the serial code name that matches the one in the name of the backup. There should also be a db_1.sql file and backubpuddy_dat.php file in the folder along with it so you know you are in the right place.

But also since importbuddy.php files aren't connected to any specific site or backup file then you can use an importbuddy.php file from any site (as long as you know the password connected to that other site's importbuddy of course).

For further support you'll need to log in with your iThemes user name/password and post in the BackupBuddy Support Forum. If you need to renew your membership we offer a 25% Customer Loyalty Discount. You can contact sales@ithemes.com for more information on this.

Thanks for understanding,
