Hello!

I am working on moving all of my clients who currently use Builder + the Shopp ecommerce plugin over to Exchange.

I was wondering if anyone had done this themselves, or if there were any tips/tricks out there from the iThemes crew about making this move as painless as possible (i.e. maybe there is a way to export/import products out of Shopp and into exchange)?

Any help would be very welcome!!!

Thank you,

D'nelle

Hi D'nelle,

Unfortunately, there isn't an option to export/import products from one ecommerce plugin into Exchange.  It has been added as a feature request, though, which you can vote for over on the Exchange Roadmap.

My best advice is to use BackupBuddy before you get started.  What I'd probably do is create a backup of the site, migrate it to my localhost and then make the switch.  Then you can make sure everything is working properly before migrating back.

Maybe someone else has actual experience moving from Shopp to Exchange and hopefully they'll chime in.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise
