Can you provide a little bit more clarity in this?
Secondly, what would we have to do to modify the redirect for where it takes you are someone registers using the Exchange form? Which filter would it be and/or where could we find it?

There isn't a filter at this time to change where the user is taken after registration.
I'm currently writing up an article in the Exchange codex on how to do redirect after the customer logs out. I should have it done soon and I'll post it here for you once I have it completed, I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring your post.
