Hi
I have a site using exchange and stripe as the payment gateway. The products are set up for monthly installments. How do I know stripe is going to actually going to debit the credit card monthly on a recurring basis?

For instance inside the stripe dashboard you need to set up a recurring payment profile. Do I need to create a recurring profile in stripe for each product or is exchange automatically handling this function?

-Additionally I have enabled the recurring green toggle "auto renew" option in the product profiles. Hopefully this is all that is needed.

Hi acri,

The Stripe add-on for Exchange takes care of all this for you; you do not need to set up the Recurring Payment Profiles in Stripe.  All you need to do is paste your Stripe API keys into the add-on settings and, if you want the payments to recur automatically, click the icon turning it green (as you said you've done).

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise

FYI  about stripe recurring payments add-on:

The minute I enable a recurring payment option on any product,  the add to cart button is no longer available to a customer.

A customer can still add more than one recurring item to the cart but it is not intuitive in any way shape or form and requires them the Buy Now, cancel and then buy another, cancel, then choose to go to cart where all the individual items appear. I would like the customer to have the opportunity to add multiple recurring products. Is this an issue that will be addressed in the future?

Hi acri,

This is unrelated to the Stripe add-on.  I've replied to your other post here:  http://ithemes.com/forum/topic/58865-add-to-cart-button-no-longer-showing-since-stripe-add-on-version-11241/

Thanks,

Elise

Can you please log in to the forums and then post your question in the Recurring Payments forum?  We'll be able to help you out there.
