many of ours Wordpress client's websites are actually running in a subdirectory (instead of root). Is BackupBuddy able to create a perfect copy of this kind of installation too, and rebuild it perfectly in the new location?

Furthermore, any known issue with accented characters (è é ù ò) within site / db?

Thank you very much!

Hi Paolo,

When BackupBuddy creates a backup it backs up the site's WordPress installation starting at the web root wherever that is and deeper. The wp-config.php can be in the parent directory of the web root though. So if the subdirectory the site's are installed in are the WordPress web root then yeah it isn't an issue to back up a subdirectory site as long as the only needed files for the site that aren't in the subdirectory is the wp-config.php file.

If the site is using utf-8 mentioned in the thread title then likely fine.
