I did not realize when I bought BackupBuddy just over a year ago, that I would have to pay a renewal fee annually for this plugin.

Your website specifically says "After the one-year mark, BackupBuddy is still yours to use and keep, but we recommend renewing your BackupBuddy subscription to have continued access to support, updates and new features."

I also bought the BackupStash upgrade, although I never exceeded my 1gb free/included limit.

My licence to both has now expired, I no longer have access to either the plugins I purchased or my backed up files.

I just received a 60% offer for BackupBuddy Gold which expires today, and I am debating whether to buy or not, but want to know why I don't have access to the plugins I already paid for. Also, is the 1GB stash also included for life?

Thanks,

Susan

Susan-

Our membership subscription is much like a magazine subscription. You purchased one year of support and updates for BackupBuddy. When your subscription expires, you will no longer continue to get new updates or have access tosupport, but the software you downloaded during your subscription will still be yours to keep. You just will not continue to get new versions of the plugin or support.

With BackupBuddy Gold, you will always have access to the latest version of the software for life. You will also always have access to your 1GB of Stash storage that comes with it. Rather than a one year subscription like you had before, this one is for the lifetime of the product. With BackupBuddy Gold, you will also get one year of support from our team.

I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Hi Matt,

I purchased the entire plugin suite, but did not download all of the plugins because I thought I would be able to at a later date if I needed them. It appears that they cannot be downloaded after one year. Is that correct? Also, the BackupStash (1GB) is not available. Is that tied to the support subscription?

Thanks,

Susan

Susan -

Our member area gives access to the latest version of our products. Once your membership expires, you no longer have access to that member area. So yes, you are correct.

The included 1GB plan of BackupBuddy Stash is tied to your membership. If you do not have a currently active membership to BackupBuddy, your Stash account is also inactive.

Hi Matt,

I have purchased the backupbuddy gold subscription, and see that my backup stash includes files for Wordpress sites that no longer exist, including domains I no longer own. How do I delete these?

How do I access the "1 YEAR OF TICKETED SUPPORT"?

Thanks,

Susan
