Your product seems interesting and we would use it for memberships and for the purchase of electronic downloads (documents).  

We currently have a membership site so I would want to migrate users to our new WP site and continue their annual subscription.  So - I have a member on a totally different platform that has used four of their twelve month membership, can I pre-load their membership at eight months or is there a method for "giving" them that period of time?

Is there some notification that occurs for renewals that are coming up?  If so, is there anything more than setup or is there a manual component to that each time?

Hi Doug,

Thanks for your interest in Exchange and the Membership add-on.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to set it up so that they are only charged a set amount of time, like 8 months.  If the payments are set to automatically recur, they will continue to be charged every month/year until the subscriber cancels.  This has been added as a feature request which you can vote for on the Exchange Roadmap, but I don't have a timeline for if/when it will be added.  

At this time, there isn't a reminder notification that a payment is upcoming or that a subscription is about to end.
