Hi Guys,

It'd be great if the Offline Payments payment method could process refunds the same way that Stripe and others process refunds. From what I can tell, there isn't any notation made on the transaction page that a purchase was refunded, nor can I find it in the code.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Tim

Hi Tim,

It does show refunded on the Payment screen for offline payments:

Did I misunderstand what you were asking?

Let me know and I can take a look again.

Thanks,

Elise

Hmm. Strange, that isn't happening for us. I click on the refund button and am just redirected to the single transaction page, with no change. That is on my local setup, I'll try it on a staging server and send you the link if the problem persists.

Thanks!
Tim

Hey Tim,

Ah!  That makes more sense.

On the single transaction page of an offline payment, down in the bottom right corner, you can switch the payment status.  So you can change the status from Paid to Refunded, just as you change it from Pending to Paid.

I'll talk to the developers about possibly changing that payment status automatically when clicked from the customer's transactions page.  I don't think this technically falls into the "bug" category, so I'll add it as a feature request as well as talk to them directly about it.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Elise

Ahhhh. That makes far more sense!

Yeah that would be great. Either if it did it automatically, or displayed some kind of message because I was confused :)

Thanks Elise!
