How do you recommend adding a product mumber or SKU? I don't see a field.
I know that there is a post id that I can see in the URL on the product edit page, but WordPress assigns that.

Thank you!

Hi mjsdiaz,

There isn't an option to add a product number or sku at this time.  There is, however, an order number that the customers will see on their confirmation page and you can add it to their email receipt as well.  Would something like that help?

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise

Thank you, Elise. I needed a reminder about the customer order number!

I think my client wants a number for each product, so that they can use it for tracking and inventory purposes, since only part of their sales will be online. ( I thought I was missing it somehow because the invoices have a field for the invoice number.)

I don't know yet if they will just be able to use the WordPress post number for their tracking, but that's an option.

Could you please add to the roadmap a request that there be added a field for a product ID or SKU?

Thank you!

I'll definitely add that for you, mjsdiaz.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise
