Certain iThemes Security competitors offer 2-factor authentication via SMS text message. This is good for my company's setup because one of my company's Wordpress users uses a Windows phone and another uses an old flip phone. Are app-based two-factor authentication options (Google Authenticator and Authy) your only options, or does iThemes Security offer an SMS text message 2-factor option?

Hello Daniel,

At this time the options are Google Authenticator and Authy. I see how useful this could be an I'll add it as a feature request!

For further support:

If you have purchased the iThemes Security Pro plugin, please post your support request here: https://ithemeshelp.zendesk.com/home

If you are using the free version, please post on the WordPress.org support forums: http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/better-wp-security

Thanks for understanding,

Gerroald

Just wanted to chime in on this one. There is a Windows Phone app that will work with the app-based two factor. This one has been pointed out to me elsewhere: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/authenticator/021dd79f-0598-e011-986b-78e7d1fa76f8

You can actually use any app that supports Google's Two-factor auth method (Authy, Duo, Google Authenticator, or anything else).
