Hi

I am working on a site with Exchange and using a number of addons including Memberships, MailChimp and others.

I noticed that there are updates to the addons available. What is the best way to keep these up to date? Do I remove the old version an upload the new? I am assuming I might loose settings if I do it this way. Is there another way?

I can't find anything documented but may have just missed it.

Thanks for your help
Stacey

Hi Stacey,

If your add-ons are licensed, you will update them as you would any other WordPress plugin.  You should see a link under the plugin itself that says something like "Click to Update."  Just click that to update that individual plugin, or you can check the box by all the plugins that need updating then, in the Bulk Actions menu at the top of the page, select Update then click apply.  You can also go into Dashboard > Updates and update your plugins there.

If you're not sure how to license your Exchange add-ons, you can watch this tutorial:  http://ithemes.com/tutorials/ithemes-licensing-system/

You can't actually license Exchange itself, but, again, you'll just update it as you would any other WordPress plugin.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise
