I'm putting together both the concessions sales and the tickets sales for a movie theater, and I'd like to know if is there a way to add a convenience fee to the tickets.

At this moment I'm considering simply adding the fee to the ticket value, something like "convenience fee included" but it would be nice to have this as a separate option, just like most movie theaters do.

I'm putting together a simple test page at http://www.venturecinema.net/order/

Hi Eduardo,

I'm not sure what exactly you're wanting to do.  You say you want this as a "separate option."  Does that mean you'll only charge it if, for instance, they print it at home instead of picking up the ticket at the venue?

If that's the case, with Product Variants, you could create a variant for each with the price for printing the ticket at home being higher.

Otherwise, there isn't a way to show the price without the convenience, but still charge for it when they checkout.

Thanks,

Elise

Hi Elise, thanks for your fast response. I guess I can give a try with the variants add-on; the challenge I have is that I'd like to use the industry standard for movie tickets as ticketmaster, fandango, etc. where they automatically add the convenience fee as a separate charge as you can see in the screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cXfETIQmizR

The problem I facing here, is that so far, the only way I can accomplish this is by having the convenience fee already included. For instance, the regular ticket price is $3, so I would need to raise it up to $4 and just have a note on the item's description saying something like "the ticket price includes $1 convenience fee".

I hope this make more sense.

Thanks
